A programme to help you thrive

The programme will cover non-clinical topics fitting within SPVS over-arching theme of Thriving in Practice – leadership skills, team dynamics, self-development, practice management and business management.

It has been developed with all veterinary professionals in mind, considering every job role and life stage. From Wellvet’s Liz Barton’s workshop on practical menopause support, to a session focused on empowering nurse teams; from Helen Silver-MacMahon’s workshop on feeling safe to speak up, to a case study session on employee-owned trusts, there is something to appeal to everyone.

SPVS

SPVS are delighted to have some of the industry’s most inspirational leaders in their programme. Veterinary Women In Leadership’s Kerrie Hedley, XLVets COO, will be running a workshop on putting entrepreneurial skills into practice amongst veterinary women, and award-winning Vet.CT founder and CEO, Victoria Johnson, will share how to be a stable, agile leader in an unstable world.

Other highlights within the programme include:

  • Friday morning collaborative “Business Club Live” speed-networking session – an opportunity to discuss a variety of defined issues on hosted tables.
  • A dedicated large animal stream focusing on the unique challenges faced by veterinary professionals in this “field”!
  • Dedicated Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) preparation stream covering key areas such as Client Education, Team Management and Financial Considerations.

This essential day will cover all you need to know to get you started, including finance, marketing, legalities and planning, plus a panel session from those that have ‘been there, done that’ and can share their experiences with you.

A focused exhibition

Open throughout the Thursday and Friday of the event, you will have ample opportunity to connect with a wide selection of suppliers offering the latest products, services and advice to help you and your team progress.
