On Sunday 28th July, StreetVet will be collaborating with other charities and organisations that support the human-animal bond to create virtual events and competitions to inspire and educate animal lovers, and to celebrate the relationship between humans and animals plus all of the benefits animals bring to us.

All involved promote the human-animal bond which benefits and enriches our lives. Whether it’s for companionship, animal therapy, or in the workplace.

The National Human-Animal Bond Awareness Day (NHABAD) will be filled with talks from animal health experts and inspirational individuals who all understand the strength of the human-animal bond. There will be a fantastic workshop with Hercule Van-Wolfwinkle of Rubbish Pet Portraits bringing fun to the day. There are some great prizes to be won for those that get involved including a dog photoshoot, a dog hamper, a year’s donkey adoption and much more. Everything is free to enter and is available through the campaign’s social media channels.

In the run up to the day itself, regular posts will educate and inform about the ways in which animals assist us. By highlighting these amazing charities and organisations, we will encourage the public to help in ways other than purely donating funds, including volunteering time and skills. This type of support makes a huge difference to charities, something that the NHABAD organisers know well.

The NHABAD is an opportunity to educate, interact, have fun and inspire people to understand more about each of the charities involved.
