SPVS are now welcoming programme submissions for SPVS Congress 2025. The event will take place from 30 January to 1 February 2025 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
The key theme will be Connect, Collaborate, Progress – through building quality networks, and embracing collaboration, we can all make positive changes in our professional and personal lives.
As in previous years, session submissions should fit within one of the key strands of SPVS continued ‘thriving in practice’ focus:
- Leadership skills
- Team dynamics
- Self-development
- Practice management
- Business management (finance and legal)
The congress will also include the successful ‘Grow Your Business’ day on Saturday 1 February, so submissions aimed at those thinking of starting up or expanding their business are welcomed.
Congress Contributors
SPVS are seeking contributors that are drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience and are keen to include veterinary professionals working in practice (vets, nurses, receptionists, managers) but would welcome submissions from veterinary business specialists with experience in a particular sector (e.g. marketing or finance), or academics and experts from outside of the industry presenting on areas relevant to veterinary practice life (e.g. sustainability or customer care).
SPVS is known for delivering an innovative Congress programme, so we would like to encourage those that are new to this event to submit ideas, along with those that may be new to speaking.
Ami Sawran, SPVS JVP, understands that it may feel daunting to consider speaking at congress for the first time, and has put together some advice to help set your mind at rest: https://spvs-congress.co.uk/new-voices/
